Tia is a recurring character in Season 4. She didn't have the best upbringing which has caused her to misbehave and be somewhat of a bad influence on others. She may appear in Season 5.

Tia is first seen at the site where Ats was killed taking chocolate left in his memory. Tia tells Stefan that she was excluded from school but doesn't seem upset or annoyed about it. She has a therapy type session with a school teacher, and when the teacher asks about her parents she walks out, suggesting that her parents are/were never there for her. She then tries to drive the teacher's car and crashes it, which Stefan's brother Aaron eventually resolves. Tia's younger sister has an accident then she and Stefan go to the hospital. Tia and Stefan try to sell a gun but after one of the people they were selling to grabbed Tia's hair, Stefan pointed the gun at them and they both ran. Tia got away. She also walked into the scene after Sully shot Jamie, vaguely seeing Sully's face.
