Birthday Party is the 2nd episode of the fifth season and 28th episode overall in Top Boy.
Sypnosis[]
Jaq spends time with her sister, Lauryn. Sully tries to take care of a new threat, but Dushane won't trust him to do it alone.
Plot[]
The postman delivers letters across the estate, a few residents have been told to leave their homes. Contractors are bording up a few homes. There is a photo artwork on the wall with Jaq and Mandy together.
Sully meets up with Dushane. Sully lets Dushane know what happened to Emilio and his 2 girls. Sully tells Dushane that he saw Chaash and Mounir. Dushane tells Sully that the Irish problem is his problem and then Sully tells him about how they will go after Tash. Dushane tells Sully he is nothing like him. Jaq sees Sully and explains about Lauryn. Sully tells Jaq to spend time with Lauryn and lets her have a day off.
Stefan looks to his chain that use to be Jamie's and starts wearing it. Stefan leaves the house. Stefan sees Erin. Erin starts flirting with him and teasing him about not going to school. Erin catches up to her friends. Stefan hits the gym and tries to hit a 150kg on the bench press and struggles until new leader of the Fields Si saves him and recommends to go light. Si tells Stefan that anyone in the group home gives him trouble that Stefan is to let him know. Si and Stefan chat about getting revenge for Jamie.
Jaq takes Lauryn to Yoga class, Lauryn wants out of the yoga class but Jaq tells her to deal with it as Jaq likes the Yoga class for something else. Jaq and Lauryn sit and have dinner. Jaq confronts Lauryn about the dark she bought. Jaq gets angry at Lauryn about it. Jaq tells her she is not to have no more and Lauryn then agrees. Lauryn is still having depression after murdering Curtis. Jaq tells her that she is rolling with her and the baby together.
Dushane comes to the salon to visit Shelley, Dushane says hello to Naomi and then has ago at Mandy about getting more police for the protest she started against the home office. Dushane made it clear he doesn't care about Kieron and agreed he should of got deported. Shelley hears Dushane having ago at Mandy. Dushane and Shelley leave to visit Shelley's new business proposal. Dushane tells Shelley to not hire Mandy which Shelley said she needed Mandy and told her that she was in the protest and Dushane responds "that's good to know".
Sully and Jonny meet up. Jonny said he wants to have a look around Summerhouse and lets him know that he will get a new shipment coming in.
Shelley and Dushane look in Tropic Nail Salon, Shelley negotiates with the current owner and manages to with a lower offer than what the owner was offering. Shelley manages to succeed. Dushane is happy that Shelley killed it. Dushane lets Shelley know that he will go and see Lithe.
Stefan and Si go and meet Tyrone, Ali, Obi and more other gang members of the ZT go and have a drink for Jamie and Kit. There is a party, Stefan said he wants to come to the party night. The woman in the gang starts spitting bars for Jamie. Stefan texts Erin telling her to come to the party.
Dushane comes in to see Lithe but happens to not be in the office. Dushane rings Lithe's phone but goes into answer message. Dushane rings Jeffrey about Lithe, Jeffrey also has the same problem as his bank account got locked.
Jonny and Sully visit the main stash house, Kieron start teasing Bradders about being a virgin but Samsi tells him that he never gets pussy because he is always with her. Kieron lets Sully and Jonny in. Jonny seems impressed with it and they leave. Samsi asks Kieron who Jonny is but Kieron says he never met him and says he looks hella buki. Jonny tells Sully he wants to make one more stop.
Dushane confronts Jeffrey at his house. Jeffrey tells Dushane that Lizzie has run off and taken everything by going back to Ireland. Lizzie took Lithe with her. Dushane gets angry at Jeffrey and warns him that he better find them or he will kill him. Dushane gets back in his car and feels his heart. Dushane texts Sully telling him to meet him ASAP.
Sully and Jonny drive and tells Sully that he should come to Ireland.
Lauryn and Jaq discover a name for the baby. Jaq tells her that his name should be named Delroy after their grandad. Lauryn doesn't like it. Lauryn and Jaq come and visit Shelley in her salon. Naomi holds Delroy. Jaq and Lauryn attempt to leave but Shelley tells them not to leave as she wants to do their nails for free. Shelley lets Lauryn know that she will open 9 more shops and add Lauryn in when she is ready,
Sully and Jonny go to the care home to visit Pat who is Jonny's great uncle. Jonny says hello to Abigail. Pat asks Jonny about Tadgh coming to his birthday in the next few days and Jonny lets him know he and Tadgh will both be there. Sully and Jonny head down to the hideout and see Bill tied up. Jonny tortures Bill. Sully does nothing and refuses to do anything to Bill and then Jonny kills him with one more punch. Sully notices where Jonny stashes the drugs.
Dushane visits Wilson Lee for help about Lizzie and Lithe. Wilson Lee tells Dushane that he knows a detective that can track her down with the right price, Dushane tells him to set it up.
Whilst the party is going, Erin steps in. Stefan offers Erin a drink.
Lauryn and Becks have a conversation and they get a selfie together. Jaq comes in and brings Becks her present. Lauryn thanks Jaq for the day that she gave her. Jaq and Becks go out and enjoy theirselves.
Stefan and Erin start chatting, Mukhtar and his gang come in and rob Stefan's chain, Stefan comes in and lets Si know that they stolen Jamie's chain. The gang go out and find them.
Lauryn is at home with her son. The baby is crying. Lauryn manages to put the baby asleep. She tells her that she is going to name him Jack after Jaq.
Obi, Si, Erin and Stefan are in the car looking for the gang. Amanda rings Stefan asking him where he is and he lies and says he is at Erin's helping her with her homework and says he will be back in 20 minutes. Stefan points out the gang that stole the chain. The whole ZT gang intimidate them. Stefan gets a baseball bat and batters Mukhtar and retrieves the chain.
Si is impressed with Stefan and tells him he will always be there for Stefan. Stefan and Erin look at eachother and Erin smiles at Stefan. Obi drops off Stefan at the care home.
Dushane and Sully meet. They are looking at the artwork with Mandy and Jaq. Dushane lets Sully know that Lizzie and Lithe done a runner. Dushane and Sully plan about the Irish problem.
Jaq and Becks come back and they find Lauryn dead with a drug overdose and dead in the bath drowned to death. Jaq is crying and panicking while the baby is crying, Becks sees the dark nearby.
