Tareek was the third-in-command of the Summerhouse gang in Hackney, London. After Summerhouse murdered the leader of the rival London Fields gang, Fields members retaliated and brutally stabbed Tareek outside a nightclub later that night.
Biography[]
Prior to March of 2011, Tareek was inducted into the Summerhouse gang of Hackney, London. He became a trusted soldier, and eventually became third-in-command to Dris Wright, who himself was second-in-command to Dushane Hill and Gerard "Sully" Sullivan. Tareek seemed to be familiar with Kamale Lewis' cousin Shaun Campbell, as upon hearing of Shaun's murder, Tareek comments Shaun was innocent and not involved in gang life.
Top Boy: Series 1[]
Tareek is standing in the Summerhouse Estate selling drugs alongside Chantelle. Kamale with Ninja and Dwight drive through the estate and rob the two. Tareek rings Dushane to let them know Kamale and the London Fields gang are in Summerhouse. Dushane, Dris and Sully quickly make their way but the rival gang leaves before they arrive. Dushane is later promoted to run Summerhouse by their distributor Bobby Raikes. Sully with Tareek and Chantelle pick up Gem, a new recruit, and drive to a drug house. Gem is sent out to do a drug deal, where London Fields arrives and rob the gang again.[1]
Tareek, Chantelle, Andre, and Dris go out on the hunt for Kamale. Dushane and Sully hatch a plan to kidnap Kamale's cousin Shaun Campbell for ransom, but the kidnapping goes awry when Sully knocks him unconscious and accidentally kills him.[2]
With the help of a young Summerhouse dealer named Michael, Kamale is found at his girlfriend's house and kidnapped. Kamale is interrogated on the whereabouts of the missing drugs, then executed by Dris. Dushane and Sully arrive to Trust Tyres, where they find Raikes' right-hand man Lee Greene retrieving the drugs. The two realise all this time Lee has been the gang's mole selling out the stash location, and the two shoot him dead.
Later that night, Tareek is with Dushane and Sully for a live event of Giggs, where Tareek is approached by a woman. Outside the club, the woman is discovered to be a ruse set up by London Fields, and Ninja stabs Tareek. Ninja tells Tareek to tell Dushane and Sully they are next.[3]
The following morning, Dris and Chantelle have a conversation about Tareek, with Dris mentioning he is in critical condition.[4] It is never confirmed whether Tareek succumbed to his injuries but by September of 2012, Tareek is not apart of the Summerhouse gang, with Shaheed becoming his replacement.

- Tareek's fate is unknown after his stabbing on 14 March 2011. The following day, Dris Wright mentions he is in critical condition.
