Shelley is a character in the Top Boy season, she is carer for Dushane Hill's mother, she also begins a relationship with Dushane Hill, she is portrayed by Simbiatu Abisola Abiola.
Biography[]
Season 3[]
Shelley is first seen when she is round Jaq's house when she is visting her best friend Lauryn who is Jaq's sister when Dris comes round to meet up with Jaq. She answers the door to Dushane Hill when she is looking after his mother when he comes and sees her. When Dushane is looking for money she catches him out and wasn't afraid to tell him about it. Later Shelley starts a new relationship with Dushane, her daughter Tish starts to like Dushane like a father figure. In season 4 Shelley owns her own beauty salon and moves in with Dushane in their new appartment.
Season 4[]
Shelley and Tish move out of Summerhouse and moves into a new flat with Dushane. Dushane tells Shelley that he wants to stay away from the drug empire, go legit and live normal with Shelley and Tish. Shelley opens up her new nail salon which is full of spicy banter. But an old past friend, Beverley walks in who becomes a mountain of trouble stepping her way. Naomi asks Beverley to do her nails but says that Shelley should do it instead. Beverley extorts a free nail treatment with vague threats. Housing developers start evictions to her community but Shelley and her local friends plan to fight the re-development. Shelley suggests that she could ask for Dushane but didn't know that Dushane was investing in the development. Shelley asked Dushane for the money and discovered Dushane's involvement. Shelley kept her own secrets from Dushane. Sully secretly asked her to hire Mandy to the salon as he wanted to make anonymous as she is upset with him killing her boyfriend. Shelley hires Mandy in the salon. Mandy discovers that Beverley has been blackmailing Shelley. Mandy overheard Beverley demanding £20,000 from Shelley or she would go to the police. However Shelley and Mandy plan to dig up Ryan's body and take it to a scrapyard and dissolve the body. Shelley later knocks on Beverley's door and threatens her to never come near her or her salon again. After Dushane lost his mother Shelley then starts a better relationship with Dushane again.
Season 5[]
As Sully self appoints himself as the new leader of Summerhouse, Dushane focuses on helping Shelley expand her business plans and negotiate buying the new salon she inteded to open. Dushane will later change his mind as Lithe and Lizzie run off with the money that Dushane had invested to hold on to as Dushane planned to use that money to expand her businesses which then causes Dushane to kill Lizzie's husband. Shelley then dumps Dushane and starts packing her and Tish's things. Dushane is on the run as the MIT are after him, he contacts Shelley to get his money and passport, Shelley sends Naomi to the flat as MIT know that they can identify her as an accomplice. During the Summerhouse riot, Shelley meets up with Dushane at Pat's old house and drops the cash and the passport off to Dushane, they talk about their memory of them how they met in the room they were in, Shelley understands that Dushane loves money and power more than he loved her and she tells him that he hopes he makes it out.
