Prove Yourself is the 8th episode in the fourth season and 26th overall episode in Top Boy.

Synopsis[]

Jaq arranges a meeting with Curtis. The cops hit a bump in their investigation. Jamie's loyalty is put to the test. Dushane has a change of heart.

Plot[]

Naomi and Shelley get ready to open the nail salon. As they open up, Vee, Curtis and Speaks get ready to cover their faces and enter the salon. Curtis puts a gun and shoots up the salon. Speaks as a getaway driver drives off with Vee and Curtis.

Dushane and Sully sat in the number 1 cafe. Junior comes in to speak with them. Junior says he can make arrangements for their plan on Ruben. Jamie comes in and tells Dushane that Kit was the one who arranged Dexter to kill Ats killed. Jamie convices his loyalty and Kit's loyalty. Dushane tells Jamie to kill Kit or he will kill Jamie himself. Dushane and Sully look to see how loyal Jamie is. Jaq comes in the cafe to let Dushane know that Shelley's shop got shot up. Dushane, Sully, Jaq, Kieron and Romy run to the shop.

Dushane walks up to Shelley to see how she holding up. Dushane says he promises Dushane that he will get back who shot up her shop. Shelley is also going to be questioned by the police. Sully tells Dushane to leave it and walk off.

Jamie and Kit are planning on leaving London. Jamie warns Kit that Dushane wants him to kill him but tells Kit that he will never kill him. Kit tells Jamie that he has a cousin in Cardiff who will take him and Jamie in. Jamie tells Kit to line it up and he will pattern up his brothers.

Dushane starts questioning Lauryn about Curtis. Dushane says that Curtis has to go today. Jaq says that she will call Curtis and make out that she is brining Lauryn in to him. Jaq tells Lauryn that after the Curtis problem goes away that her and Lauryn are done.

Jamie meets with Aaron and Stefan at a bench where they have a memory of their parents and happens to the birthday of their father. As Aaron gets back to his studies but Jamie tells Aaron to wait and tells Aaron and Stefan that they are both leaving London to go to Cardiff. Both of the brothers are not happy. Stefan runs away and Aaron gets funny with Jamie due to having his university exams.

Curtis gets a call off Jaq. Jaq tells Curtis that she will bring in Lauryn and they will bring back the drugs and money they stolen. Jaq says she will send him the location in one hour. Vee tells Curtis that it is a trap but Curtis tells Vee that they are going to snatch Jaq in exchange for Lauryn. Romy and Kieron come through with some guns.

Lizzie leaves Dushane a voice message. Lizzie tells Dushane to call her back about Spain. Jeffrey walks in the kitchen. Lizzie asks Jeffrey why is he ignoring her calls and he tells Lizzie not to take it personally due to losing his mother.

Stefan comes to visit Tia. They talk about selling the gun.

Jaq is at the spot waiting for Curtis. Dushane, Sully, Kieron and Romy are in the car getting ready to ambush Curtis. Junior calls Sully to let him know that his cousin has been moved and tells him the Ruben problem can't be solved.

Curtis, Vee and Speaks drive on their way to meet Jaq. Curtis has his gun ready. Curtis rings Jaq as they spot her. Jaq tells him Lauryn is in the car. The Summerhouse gang get prepared. Lauryn calls Curtis to tell him that Jaq and the others are ready to ambush Curtis but doesn't want anyone to get hurt. Lauryn tells Curtis to come and meet her and has to come on his own.

Stefan and Tia come in and meet the contact who agree to buy the gun. Stefan tells them that he is after £400. One of them starts bullying Tia, Stefan pulls a gun on them. They go and chase Stefan and Tia. Stefan goes into hiding and calls Jamie. Stefan tells Jamie to come and rescue him.

Curtis comes in to see Lauryn. Lauryn tells Curtis that she is sorry. Curtis tells Lauryn to promise him that she will never run away from him and again and that he loves her. Lauryn gets a knife and starts stabbing Curtis multiple times. Curtis starts groaning as he gets his phone but Lauryn kicks off his hand. Lauryn then stabs him again and Curtis is dead. Lauryn calls Jaq off Curtis' phone. Jaq hears Lauryn, Jaq then gets ready to get back to Lauryn and it leaves Vee and Speaks worried.

Stefan gets out of the hiding spot and is stopped by the gang who were still looking for him. Jamie comes to the rescue and attacks the gang who were after Stefan. Stefan comes and hugs Jamie. Jamie and Stefan drive off with Tia. Jamie tells Stefan that they are not going anywhere.

Jaq finds Lauryn at their family house and sees Curtis' dead body. Romy, Jaq, Sully and Kieron arrange for Curtis' body to disappear while Dushane leaves to go and see Ruben in prison. Jaq is cleaning up Curtis' blood off Lauryn's skin in the bath.

Vee and Speaks are back in the cafe. Vee rings up Curtis' phone but it ends up Sully answering the phone. Sully tells Vee that Curtis is dead and tells her to go back to Liverpool and live her life. Vee then starts crying and hitting the table.

Jamie goes in to chat to Aaron, he tells him that everything he does is for him and Stefan and tells him that he has got his exams.

Pebbles brings Tash to see Sully with Taylor's permission. Tash jumps in Sully's car and Pebbles walks off to let Tash and Sully spend time together.

Sully and Tash are in a cafe having a conversation. Tash tells Sully that she wants to be a vet to save animals. Sully tells Tash that he can buy her 4 dogs.

Dushane and Ruben are in the visitors room. Dushane manipulates Ruben to change his mind in talking to the police and tells him about what he can do to his family. Ruben leaves the visitors room back to his cell.

Sully and Delphine catch up at the ocean. Sully tells Delphine that he has plenty of reasons to stay and that he will see her later.

Jamie gets ready with his gun.

Dushane and Jeffrey talk about the Summerhouse project and tells him not to go ahead with the Summerhouse redevelopment or he will kill Lizzie.

Jamie meets up with Kit. As Kit and Jamie are getting prepared to leave for Cardiff. Jamie and Kit are in the car and Jamie pulls a gun and shoots Kit in the head. After Jamie killed Kit he goes back in the flat and takes a look at his brothers. Jamie messages Dushane and tells him its done. Dushane tells Sully that Jamie is loyal and is part of the proper retirement plan which Sully disagrees.

Dushane and Shelley are in Pat's house. Dushane understands Shelley not being happy with him. Shelley tells Dushane that she gets what Dushane does but doesn't agree with it.

The council agree to suspend the redevelopment has been suspended. Aaron graduates in university. Jaq is with Lauryn for her baby scan. Ruben tells the police that he is not co-operating with the police against Dushane. Mounir and Chaash arrange for Momo to go to Spain to see his sister. Dushane keeps business going as usual. Jaq and Jamie work alongside Dushane supervising all the crew selling the drugs.

Jamie, Stefan and Aaron finish their dinner. There is a knock on the door, Stefan thinks its Tia at the door, Stefan wants to answer the door and Jamie tells Stefan to wash the plates. As Jamie comes in to answer the door it happens to be Sully as he shoots him in the chest twice. Soon as Stefan spots Sully, Sully shoots Jamie in the head and walks off. Tia walks by and sees Aaron and Stefan crying with Jamie in their arms.
