Leon is one of the main protagonists in Season 1 of Top Boy.
He is a friend of Lisa Smith and also looked after Ra'Nell Smith while she was in hospital.
He is portrayed by Nicholas Pinnock.
Biography[]
Background & past[]
Before 2011, Leon was a friend of Wayne's, they use to cause trouble together Leon also knew Dushane and Sully and possibly was friends with them. Leon was in and out of prison and was never heard of by Ra'Nell or Lisa who are members of Wayne's family after Ra'Nell stabbed Wayne to defend his mother, all though Wayne didn't die which Wayne never saw them again which was no purpose of them hearing from Leon. Leon then started to turn his life around and get himself in a full time job and leaving the criminal life behind him.
Season 1[]
After Lisa got moved to go to a mental hospital, she notices Leon now working there and they reunite. With Lisa being worried about Ra'Nell being taken into care, Leon tells Lisa that he will look after Ra'Nell while she gets better.
As Leon visits Ra'Nell he is not happy to see Leon due to being friends with his abusive father, Leon explains that his mother is in a mental hospital and that she sent him to go and make sure things are good with him.
Leon catches Ra'Nell talking to Dushane and Sully who they were intending to recruit, however Leon speaks to Dushane and Sully to leave Ra'Nell alone which they agree to reverse Ra'Nell in the gang. Leon tells Ra'Nell that he will tell social services about him if he catches him talking to Dushane again.
Whilst Ra'Nell is doing the cannabis cutting for Heather, Ra'Nell would lie to Leon telling him he has been with Precious after finding out Ra'Nell was out to late.
Whlle Ra'Nell's friend Gem has problems with Summerhouse accusing him of telling Kamale about the Summerhouse drug house, Ra'Nell goes to Leon for help, Leon tells Gem to stay away from Dushane and Sully and he goes over to see Dushane and Sully convincing them to leave Ra'Nell and Gem alone.
As Lisa finds out Ra'Nell has been cutting cannabis for Heather, Lisa rings Leon to let him know, Sully has Dris following Ra'Nell and Sully and Dris then beat up Ra'Nell and rob the cannabis, as Leon goes to defend Ra'Nell, Leon is shot to death by Sully.
