Juan "el Bueno" was a corrupt member of Spain's National Police. Leveraging his high-ranking authority, Juan established himself in the Hispano–Moroccan drug trade by accepting bribes from traffickers operating in his jurisdiction, particularly from warring gangs Los Duques and the Moroccan cartel, and ruthlessly antagonizing those who did not earn him the most money.
Dushane Hill, the leader of the London-based Summerhouse gang, sent rival-turned-allied gang leader Jamie Tovell to Spain to sort out complications stemming from Juan capturing their drug shipments from the Moroccan cartel. During a feigned deal set up by Summerhouse co-founder Gerard "Sully" Sullivan (having arrived unexpectedly to assist Jamie) and a Spanish cartel member named Emilio, Sully shot Juan, where Emilio then executed him as revenge for Juan having earlier ordered the murder of Emilio's brother-in-law.
Jamie is later executed by Sully back in London; Juan had inadvertently revealed to Sully that Jamie had been trying to broker a deal with Juan on Jamie's own behalf, in order to usurp power from the Summerhouse gang back in London.

Season 4[]
Juan "el Bueno" has a sit down with Antonio and Lizzie after Emilio decides to retire from the drugs game. Juan decides to swap sides with Los Duques and have Antonio killed.
When the Moroccans bring their shipment into Spain to supply to Summerhouse, Juan decides to get all his men to bust the drug dealers and injuring one of the dealers and arresting him causing Mounir problems. This was one of the help from Khrito.
After Jamie went to Morocco to solve the problem for Dushane, Jamie makes a deal with Juan to help Dushane and then makes a secret deal to get back on top again.
Emilio meets up with Jamie and Sully to meet Juan el Bueno, Juan then discovers why Jamie is quiet which Sully finds out about Jamie trying to screw over him and Dushane again. Juan's 2 bodyguards get killed by Sully and Sully shoots Juan. Emilio then finishes Juan off in the revenge of Antonio. Sully eventually kills Jamie in one of the reasons of making secret deals with Juan.

- El Bueno seems to be Juan's nickname rather than his surname. "El Bueno", Spanish for "the Good" is an ironic nickname for Juan given his ruthless character.
