Jaqueline Lawrence is a member of the Summerhouse dealers who is started off as no 2 of the crew for Dris who took over Sumerhouse while Dushane was in Jamaica. She is portrayed by Jasmine Jobson. She serves as one of the deuteragonists in Season 3 and Season 4 and one of the two main protagonists of Season 5.
Biography[]
Jaq is seen with Dris, while Dris is leading Summerhouse she is number 2 for Dris until Dushane and Sully re unite and take back Summerhouse, Jaq however climbs up, while Dris becomes a liability and shows disloyalty along with his stroke, Jaq however becomes higher up than Dris in the crew. Jaq lives with her sister Lauren, who she has an uneasy relationship with, especially finding out that her sister dated a rival gang member Leyton. She is a lesbian, and had a Chinese girlfriend named Maude. Jaq was also good friends with Kieron who also worked with her in the drug trade. Jaq also works out in her local boxing gym.
Season 3[]
Jaq is seen hanging around Summerhouse with Dris Wright who is now running Summerhouse, while Dushane is in Jamaica and Sully is in prison. Jaq is serving as Dris' 2nd in command. Dris doesn't really do a good job and he had a stroke a year before. They are often getting 2 Caucasians trying to scrounge free drugs from them (they are really undercover police), they are often told to "f*** off" by Jaq and she disrespects them.
The Turkish connection who supply to Summerhouse and the Fields are all killed by Jamie Tovell and his 2nd in command Kit for a better supplier which then Summerhouse are bought downhill.
Dushane Hill returns to London, Jaq however has never heard of him, Dris introduces him to the Summerhouse crew, Jaq starts her disrespectfulness with Dushane but he walks away. Jaq says to Dris "If he is such a badman then where has he been?" Dushane is struggling to find 10 grand to start supplying and get back on top. Jaq takes her sister Lauryn to speak to Dushane as she knew where to find 10 grand which doesn't go well. Ats and Stefan are playing basketball, Jaq and Romy approach them. Jaq tells them that they will be working for her soon. Dushane and Sully bought Summerhouse back on top again. ZTs and Summerhouse go to war,
Jaq and Dris go and kidnap Lizzie who is ZTs leader Jamie and also his supplier. Dushane and Jamie negotiate with eachother but they don't agree on it. Lizzie is handed back to Jamie. Jamie and his crew go and stab Romy and scold another one of the dealers with acid. Dris becomes a liability to the crew, Dushane demotes him and promotes Jaq. Jaq tries to get more youngers one of them who happens to happily work for her happens to be Ats best friends with rival gang leader Jamie's brother Stefan.
Jaq happens to have a new girlfriend she is Chinese, her name is Maude, Lauryn likes to tease her about her but Shelley (Dushane's girlfriend/Lauryn's best friend) happens to be happy for Jaq. Maude and Jaq are having their date knowing what Jaq does and knowing that her crew is struggling after the drug war. Maude asks to help but Jaq tells her to keep out of it and doesn't want her involved in the business. Jaq had to work extra hard after Dris was slacking.
Jaq discovered that her sister Lauryn was seeing Layton a rival gang member in Jamie's crew who is also cousin to Modie, Jaq is angry about it and beats up Lauryn after Lauryn tells her that she was the one who told him about Sully going to Jason's funeral and Dushane asking his brother Chris for 10 grand. She went and told Dushane about her sister, Dushane tells her to tell Lauryn to come see him but she refuses and Dushane lashes out at Jaq while she walks away. Later Dushane tells Jaq to tell her sister to get out of town, he gives Jaq a lot of money to give Lauryn and she is aware that Dushane will tell Sully about the cremation scene.
Meanwhile she sends Ats and he brings to Manchester to deliver a lot of drugs, she sends Kieron to rob them while being there after Ats collected the money but there was no money, meanwhile she plays a vital role in Dushane's plan to take down Jamie, she got Ats to plant a bag with a gun in Jamie's house, this got Jamie's brothers arrested, forcing Jamie to take the blow for them.
Jaq and the rest of the Summerhouse gang are back on top, with her loyalty proven, her role in the gang was cemented and she is out clubbing with Maude and the Summerhouse gang.
Season 4[]
Jaq is now 2nd in command for Summerhouse after Sully distance himself from Dushane. Jaq also doesn't like the idea of Dushane bringing Jamie in after his prison release, she lets Sully know about which causes Sully more of his PTSD due to killing Dris.
It is unknown reason why Jaq and Maude split up, Jaq starts a new relationship with Becks which then will cause a homophobic gang to rob Becks. Jaq will later track one of them down with Becks' bag and Jaq beats him up and retrieves it back to Becks.
Jaq later travels to Liverpool to see lauryn where she is living where she will seek help to get away from her new boyfriend Curtis who has been domestically abusing her. Jaq convinces to Dushane as she worries about Lauryn to let her come back but Dushane refuses it as Dushane thinks Sully is more of a danger. Lauryn tricks Curtis despiting it and gets a taxi to London to get away from Curtis, Vee and Speaks. Jaq will hide Lauryn in Becks' house and Jaq tells Sully about Lauryn leaking information to Leyton. Sully moves past it and agrees to help them against Curtis.
Jaq tries to get Curtis into an ambush, but before he falls for it, Lauryn lures him away, only to kill him herself. Jaq goes to Lauryn and helps her clean up after Curtis' murder. With the pair reunited, Jaq prepares to be an aunt.
Season 5[]
Jaq texts Dushane to let him know that Jamie has been killed
Jaq comes with Sully who self appoints himself as Summerhouse leader, they find the heads of Chaash and Mounir's in a box who are the main suppliers who are killed by the Irish.
Jaq finds out Lauryn has been taking drugs, she confronts her sister about it and thinks she made a breakthrough and sadly Lauryn dies in Jaq's home through the drug overdose drowning in the bath. This devastates Jaq, who becomes disillusioned with selling drugs. She steals from Sully by going to Antonia's house with the help of Kieron, hoping to give her nephew a better life.
Realising her mistake, she goes to make things right with Sully and asks for a pass. He tells her: "Don't beg, it's disgusting". Sully doesn't forgive Jaq, due to him going at Si as Kieron told him it was him who robbed the house to protect Jaq. Sully then demands the drugs back from her. As Jaq goes to meet Sully to deliver back the drugs, Dushane would then rob and steal the drugs from her.
Dushane and Sully's feud lets Jaq return to Becks and her nephew, As they prepare for an uncertain furture, Jaq tells her everything is going to be OK.
At the end of the final episode, Sully is shot dead by a mystery gunman in his car. Some speculate that it could be Jaq, among many suspects, who could have possibly shot him.
