Bobby Raikes is the main antagonist in Season 1 and a mentioned antagonist in Season 4 of Top Boy.
He is portrayed by Geoff Bell.
Biography[]
Booby Raikes was at the top of the local chain, supplying Dushane and Sully's drugs. He allows Dushane to step up because he is impressed by his will to succeed and his intelligence and thinks Dushane will make him a lot of money. Raikes himself has been in the game a long time. He is motivated by money and old-fashioned values, like respect.
Pre-Season 1 (Off-screen)[]
It is not known how long Raikes had been leader of Summerhouse until his death in 2011 but it probably started back in the 1990s when Dushane and Sully were both teenagers getting involved in the drugs market. Even though both Dushane and Sully never actually met Raikes until they were both adults in 2011, before the death of Raike's long-time best friend and business partner, Lee Greene. In Lee's desperate attempts to stop Sully shooting him dead, he replies with "I put you on the fucking roads" implying Raikes and Greene had been running Summerhouse since at least the late 1990s.
Season 1[]
Bobby Raikes is an old school White English gangster and leader of the Summerhouse drugs gang along with Lee Greene during season 1. During the end of season 1, Raikes is killed by Dushane at the docks and Dushane framed his death to look like a suicide.

Season 4 (mentioned)[]
During a police interview with Ruben, the interviewers give him the option to lower Ruben's sentence and so he can get his son back is to give the police information about Dushane and Sully activities in Hackney over the 20 years Rubens known them for. He tells them about a time before Dushane and Sully were topboys of the Summerhouse gang. Bobby Raikes was the topboy and Dushane and Sully were working for him.
Season 5 (tip)[]
His words came back to haunt Dushane when Sully kills Dushane. Bobby told Dushane to take Sully out if he wants to be successful, Dushane didn’t listen which cost him his life 4 seasons later.
