Aaron Tovell ( born March 9, 2000 ) is a character in Top Boy, he is the 2nd oldest son in the Tovell family. He is portrayed by Hope Ikpoku Jnr.
He serves as a central character in season 3-4 and a mentioned character in season 5.
Biography[]
Aaron studies at University, he is a brother to a young ruthless London drug kingpin Jamie Tovell and he has another brother Stefan. Aaron lives with both of his brothers and Jamie made sure that him and his brother stay out of trouble and focus on their educations. Aaron has a girlfriend from University called Abby. The Tovell brothers lost both of their parents so that Jamie looks after Aaron and Stefan as a promise.
Season 3[]
Aaron is mainly seen with Stefan and Jamie in their flat. He has dinner with Abby and her parents one night, and Aaron tells Abby's parents that both his parents have died and that his older brother Jamie looks after him and Stefan. When Jamie goes to stay at Kit's place for a while, Aaron questions him about why he needs to leave and says that it affects him a lot. As Jamie is about to leave, Aaron tells him to be careful.
Aaron and Stefan are unaware that Jamie has set up a camera outside the building in which they live to see what they are doing. Aaron invites Abby over which Jamie notices on camera. Sometime later, Aaron, Stefan and Abby are sleeping while the Police raids their flat. The three don't even know what is going on, but Ats left a green backpack at their place and Dushane anonymously called the Police about it. Aaron gets arrested but is soon released.
Season 4[]
Aaron is still attending University and is focused on his studies most of the time. Him and Jamie get into an argument over Aaron paying the damage Tia caused to the car which she was in with Stefan. Jamie pins him to a wall and Aaron then walks away. Jamie tells Aaron and Stefan that they need to go to Kit's cousins place in Cardiff and stay there for a while, to which Aaron is frustrated. He refuses to go because he has University exams in the same week.
Couple weeks later. Aaron graduates from Uni.
Aaron, Jamie, and Stef are eating dinner when there’s a knock at the door. He teases Stef and says his girlfriend Tia is knocking and Stef says it’s not like that. Jamie goes to answer it and gets shot twice. Aaron and Stef rush out, and sees Sully. Sully then shoots Jamie in the head in front of them. They rush to Jamie and Aaron is panicking while trying to get a hold of the ambulance
Season 5[]
Aaron is not seen in season 5, Aaron lives in Leeds and has a job doing marketing.

- Aaron is the only one out of his brothers that always kept a straight and narrow.
- Aaron moved to Leeds to do his career as a marketer.
- Aaron could of possibly went back to London to shoot Sully in the head, quite unlikely as he thought his university degrees were more important than his family.
- Out of all main characters between seasons 3 & 4 Aaron has never met Dushane, Shelley, Lizzie, Modie Jason, Erin, Gem, Lauryn, Mandy, Becks or Pebbles..
